The 48-foot and 12-foot sector gates have been installed in their respective concrete dams by May 16, 1907. The southeast end of the fender wall is at left behind the wooden falsework. Both gates were used primarily for flushing floating debris that accumulated either inside or outside the forebay on each side of the fender wall.
